Moore's woolly lemur

The Moore - Woolly Lemur ( Avahi mooreorum ) is a primate of the group of lemurs. He was described in 2008 as a separate species. The specific epithet honors the family of the U.S. patron Gordon Moore.

Moore - Wollmakis reach a body length of about 28 centimeters, what is still a 33 -centimeter-long tail. It weighs around 0.9 kilograms. Her thick, woolly fur is gray on the top and brown on the bottom. The bushy tail is reddish brown, the inner thighs is white. The mask-like facial hair is less pronounced than in other Wollmakis, the eyes are large and their ears partially hidden in the fur.

Moore - Wollmakis live like all lemurs to Madagascar, they are so far known only from the Masoala region on the east coast. Their habitat are therefore rainforests. Over the life of these newly described species, little is known, she probably agrees with that of the other Wollmakis match. Consequently, they are nocturnal and arboreal, which move vertically climbing and jumping. They should live in monogamous family groups and feed mainly on leaves.

Also, their level of vulnerability is unclear, the IUCN lists the species not yet.
