Moorweg is a municipality in the district Esen Witt mouth in Lower Saxony.

Geography

The municipal area is heavily wooded. In the sparsely populated area there are several nature reserves. Outstanding is the Burkhard oak, which must be with their range of more than 5 meters older than 400 years.

History

In the area of ​​community Moorweg two monasteries were built in the Middle Ages. Coat of arms

The coat of arms of the municipality is divided transversely.
