Morab

The Morab is an American breed of horse. It is a cross between Morgan and Arabs.

Exterior

The Morab is like the Arabs a noble horse with large expressive eyes and large nostrils. The profile of the head is straight or slightly concave. The neck is strong but noble, the chest wide and deep. The back is short and straight, the croup is muscular with a high set tail. The Morab is on error-free legs, his shoulder height is 145-157 cm. All colors are represented with no stains, markings on the head and legs are permitted.

Interior

The Morab is a quiet, affectionate and reliable, as it were intelligent horse. His strong hindquarters gives him the flowing movements, he carries himself in a good meeting. The Morab is suitable as a riding horse and also for coach horse. Lately, its popularity has increased greatly. It is particularly common in the United States.

Breeding history

The Morab horse breed originated around 1800 to 1930, the Morabs were registered in the breeding records of Morgan and Arabs. The International Morab registry was established in 1992. Morabs see Arabs very similar and are very versatile because Morabs are a cross between Arabs and Morgan, possibly in the ancestral line, a low influence of the American Quarter Horse to find.
