Morane-Saulnier MS.760 Paris

The Morane- Saulnier Paris Jet MS.760 is a four-seat Very Light Jet Morane- Saulnier of the French manufacturer (later SOCATA ).

History

The MS 760 is based on the two-seat jet trainer not produced in series MS.755 Fleuret of the designer René Gauthier. This machine lost time competing against the Fouga Magister. The MS.760 presented as a light twin-engine aircraft is one of the first representatives of the Very Light Jets, who could not prevail in the 1960s against the competition of the Learjet. The first flight of the prototype took place on 29 July 1954. The first production aircraft lifted on 27 February in 1958 for the first time. Equipped with stronger Marbore VI engines, Tragflächenendtanks and better payload storage space MS.760B Paris II was produced from 1961. The six-seater MS.760C Paris III was built only in one copy and launched in 1964 for its maiden flight.

The MS.760 (50 pieces), Brazil (30 pieces) and Argentina ( 48 pieces) used until 1977 by the Navy and the Air Force in France until 2007 as a training and liaison aircraft. After the retirement of some of the machines continue to be used as a private aircraft.

After acquiring the rights to the aircraft by the U.S. company JetSet Aviation those planning a new edition of the aircraft in a modernized form ( with modern engines and glass cockpit), which is to reach a speed of 740 km / h and a range of 2600 km.

Construction

The MS 760 is a twin-engine low-wing monoplane with a T-tail, which is powered by two Turbomeca Marboré engines in the wing roots.
