Morbid jealousy

The delusion of jealousy ( Othello syndrome or " conjugal paranoia " ) describes the delusional belief in the infidelity of a partner. This form of delusion occurs esp. in the context of alcoholism, but is already linked to a stroke ( cerebrovascular accident ) have been described. Even jealousy can be the thematic content of an isolated delusional disorder. From this pathological form of jealousy often results in an increased level of violence against the people accused of infidelity or its environment, which can manifest itself in violent crime.
