Moreirense FC

The Moreirense Futebol Clube is a Portuguese football club. It was founded in 1938 and is in Moreira de Cónegos, a village near Guimarães, is home. Their home ground is the Estádio Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas and offers 6131 seats. The club colors are green and white, which are arranged in the traditional jerseys in checkerboard pattern.

Biggest club success has so far been the promotion to the 1st League in the 2001/2002 season, but was followed the descent in the 2004/2005 season. At the end of the 2011/2012 season the club In second place behind GD Estoril Praia and rose again in the Primeira Liga.
