Moreno Ferrario

Moreno Ferrario ( born March 20, 1959 in Lainate ) is a former Italian football player, who was best known for his long association membership for SSC Napoli.

Career

Moreno Ferrario began his career in 1975 at the AS Varese 1910, at whose side the defender his first experience in professional football and collected several times was used in the B series. Two years later he moved to Napoli, where he was able to experience his most successful period. Although he regularly occupied the front ranks of Naples, only succeeded in the 1986/87 season by winning the Italian championship and the national cup competition, the Coppa Italia, realizing the initial success with the southerners. In the following season was only just short of three points behind AC Milan defending the title.

He then left the club and joined the league rivals AS Roma. In his only season in Rome he reached with the team a secure midfielder rank and was able to keep away from the relegation zone. He then moved to the second-rate series B for U.S. Avellino. There, the defender came in the next two years with the club not even placements in the second highest league in Italy and, among then wrote for AC Siena. With the Tuscan club Ferrario graduated from the 1991/92 season in Serie C1 and was maintained even after his signature in the U.S. Carrarese the third- highest division. For the 1994/95 season the defender was standing by the fourth division FBC Saronno under contract by which he made the promotion to Serie C1 and then ended his active career.

Ferrario was appointed 1977-1980 in the Italian U -21 selection and used in a total of eight games. He made his debut here on October 5, 1977 in the match against Yugoslavia. The defender also completed six games for the Italian Olympic team, with which he could not qualify for the 1980 Summer Olympics.
