Moreno Torricelli ( born January 23, 1970 in Erba (CO), Italy ) is a retired Italian footballer and current coach. His main position was right -back.

Playing career

In the club

Moreno Torricelli's career began as a modern fairy tale, he worked in a furniture factory, as a friendly game of his team Caratese U.S., for whom he played as a hobby, against Juventus changed his life. Moreno Torricelli made ​​his international debut on 24 January 1996 to the 3-0 win over Wales. He participated in the European Football Championship in England in 1996 and at the World Cup in France in 1998 with Italy. The last of his ten caps for the Azzurri played Torricelli on 10 February 1999 in a 0-0 draw against Norway.

Coaching career

In the 2007 /08 season Moreno Torricelli worked as a youth coach at Fiorentina. In February 2009 he took over as coach of AC Pistoiese, currently in Lega Pro Prima Divisione plays.
