The Morgan County is a county located in the state of Colorado of the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is in Fort Morgan.

Geography

The County is located in northeastern Colorado. Its shape is approximately square. It is surrounded by the County Weld, Logan, Washington and Adams.

History

The Morgan County was released in 1889 from the Weld County. The name of the Morgan County comes from the administrative center of the county (Fort Morgan ). By County Interstate 76 runs from Denver to Nebraska. The South Platte River runs through the County.
