Morgedal

Morgedal is a village in the municipality of Kviteseid, the part of the Norwegian county of Telemark. Morgedal also the birthplace of skiing is called.

Morgedal is the skiing pioneer Sondre Norheim birthplace of the famous who revolutionized the ski binding, among others, and steel-reinforced skis introduced.

At the kitchen stove of the birthplace of Sondre Norheim, the Olympic flame for the Olympic Winter Games 1952 in Oslo, Winter Olympic Games were lit at Squaw Valley and the Olympic Winter Games in 1994 in Lillehammer in 1960.
