Morgenbladet

Morgenbladet (Norwegian for The Morning Journal) is a statewide, Norwegian weekly newspaper, published in Oslo. Since 2003, Alf van der Hagen Chief Editor and Director of the sheet. The paper makes the claim to be a politically independent voice in the media landscape with the themes of culture, media, politics, art, literature and science. Owner of Morgenbladet is since 2003 a media group consisting of Forlagskonsult, Fritt Ord and Dagsavisen.

History

Morgenbladet was founded in 1819 by the printer Niels Wulf mountain and was the first daily newspaper in the country. Your political line was to be called conservative. During the Second World War, the German occupation forces prohibited the publication of the newspaper, its editors Olaf Gjerløw and Fredrik Ramm were captured.

For a long time Morgenbladet the largest newspaper in Norway, but had in the postwar struggle to survive.
