The Morne Diablotins is at an altitude of 1447 meters, the highest mountain in Dominica.

The mountain is located in the north of the island, about 24 kilometers north of Dominica's capital Roseau and about 10 kilometers southeast of Portsmouth, the second largest city on the island.

The Morne Diablotins is an active stratovolcano that last erupted 30,000 to 40,000 years ago. Until now, the Morne Diablotins shows seismic activity; it rests, but according to volcanologists is still an active volcano, which can suddenly become active again.
