Morris Tyler

Morris Franklin Tyler was an American politician. Between 1871 and 1873 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Connecticut.

Career

About Morris Tyler, there are virtually no usable sources. He was married to Mary Frisbee Butler, who brought a son into the world in 1848, which also was named Morris. This became a professor of law at Yale University and has also worked in the telephone industry.

From the older Morris Tyler is still known that he acted professionally with shoes and boots. He lived in New Haven, where he was mayor, and became a member of the Republican Party. In 1870 he was elected to the side of Marshall Jewell as Vice- Governor of the State of Connecticut. This post he held 1871-1873. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate.
