Morrison is an American Small Town ( Home Rule Municipality ) with less than 500 inhabitants located in Jefferson County in the state of Colorado.

The place on the Colorado State Highway 8 about 20 kilometers southwest of Denver is home to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, which was awarded at the Billboard Touring Awards 2007.

A found here in 1877 by Arthur Lakes Stegosaurus Fossil caused Morrison Formation for the label.
