Morscheid

Morscheid ( Moselle Franconian: Moatscheld ) is a municipality in the Trier -Saar castle in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Ruwer.

Geography

The town is located on a ridge of Osburger Forest between the valleys of the Ruwer and Riveris. The three sides sloping and rounded to the north at the confluence of the streams slate plateau gives Morscheid an exposed position. Tunnels and pits indicate the former extraction of shale and ore.
