Morten Ask

Morten Ask ( born May 14, 1980 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian professional ice hockey player (Center), which is under contract with the Lørenskog IK in the GET ligaen since September 2011. His father Erik Ask is also a well-known hockey personalities.

Career

Morten Ask began his career in the Norwegian GET - ligaen at Furuset Ishockey. In his first season in the top division of the Norwegian links Sagittarius scored eight goals in 28 games and three assists, before moving to Vålerenga IF Oslo for season 1998/99, with whom he became Norwegian champion right away. He could repeat this success with his team in 2001. After five years, the attacker left Norway at the beginning of the season 2002/ 03 for the United States, where he joined the Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League. A year later, the Norwegians tried his luck in the ECHL with Toledo Storm, where he scored 21 goals in 62 games and prepared 30 more hits. In subsequent seasons Ask played with the Las Vegas Wranglers, which he left in the direction of Oslo to by monitored between 2004 again. With Vålerenga in 2005 he was again champion.

For the season 2005/ 06 Morten Ask joined the Finnish SM- liiga to Saimaan Pallo, a year later he went to Sweden, where he played until the 2007/ 08 season for Djurgårdens IF. For Norway Ask participated in the junior level at the U18 Junior B Championship in 1997 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 1997 and 1999. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2002 and 2005 as well as in the A World Championships 2001, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011.
