Morten Skoubo

Morten Skoubo (born 30 June 1980 Holstebro ) is a Danish football player who is in the 2011/12 season at Odense BK under contract.

Playing career

The beginnings

Morten Skoubo began his career as a professional soccer player in his native Denmark at FC Midtjylland in the Danish second division. In the first year he went with his team to League 1. In his first two years he was indeed already used regularly, but the breakthrough came in the 2001/2002 season when he was able to achieve 19 goals in 27 games. With his gates, he contributed to the achievement of excellent third place and the associated reaching the UEFA Cup. He then signed a contract with the German Erstligaclub Borussia Mönchengladbach.

National league

Come as a promising talent by Mönchengladbach it was hard Skoubo to prevail in the Bundesliga. In his first season he was at least in 20 games for use and also met in four games, but in the second year gave it only to seven games. For this reason, the Dane was loaned to the English first division side West Bromwich Albion. There it ran with only two games even worse for him. Then he returned again to Germany back.

The last years

Morten Skoubo launched a new beginning in his native Denmark at the top club Brøndby IF, who took him for 600,000 euros. Both for him personally and for the club was Skoubos return very successful. In 2005 succeeded the national Tripple ( Championship, Cup and League Cup). Skoubo scored eleven goals this season in this season. There, however, he could not play in the foreground, and was awarded to Roda JC Kerkrade. In Roda he formed with his Danish compatriot Mads Junker a strong, well discordant strike partnership. For the 2011/12 season Skoubo returns to his homeland, where he earned a three-year contract signed in Odense BK.
