The Moscow Energetic Institute (Russian Московский Энергетический Институт ) is a Technical University was founded in 1930 in Moscow. To present to him about 15,000 students studying in the fields of power engineering, electrical engineering, communication technology and information technology.

History

Today's university was founded in 1930 from the electrical engineering faculty of the Moscow Technical University. The Economic Council of the Soviet Union would thus bring together the expertise from the field of electrical engineering and train at the new university more engineers to meet the growing needs of industry for skilled workers. 1932, the Institute was umgegeliedert in six schools with different specializations. In the following years, additional institutions came to the university, covering new areas of specialization such as automation engineering or information technology. In 2000 the Institute was awarded the status of a technical university.
