Moser Baer
Moser Baer India is an Indian manufacturer of storage devices and solar cells headquartered in New Delhi and offices in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore as well as in the Netherlands, the USA, Japan and the Middle East. The production lines are located in Noida.
Moser Baer is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange. In recent years, Moser Baer has won several awards, including the " BEST OF ALL Award for Rajiv Gandhi National Quality Award 2005 " and the " Electronics Organization of the Year Award 2005."
History
Moser Baer India was founded in 1983 as a subsidiary of the Swiss watch manufacturer Mobatime and the Japanese company Maruzen for the production of clocks and produced since 1986 storage media. At the same time the family business Puri took over the shares of the Swiss.

Moser Baer announced as of 2001, plans to build and operate a CD factory in Thuringia. It should be the only and central production site in Europe. Construction of the 100 - million - euro investment should be 2004. After several shifts Moser Baer, the 2005 Project finally canceled. Reason is the difficult in the foreseeable future sales situation for CDs and DVDs.
For the planned plant in Thuringia with planned 260 jobs, the EU had already provided aid of 35 million euros. The federal government and the state of Thuringia had promised a guarantee.
110 production lines of the former TDK factory in Luxembourg and the former company CSI were purchased from Moser Baer India, which led to the suggestion that a new Moser -Baer factory in Europe probably would go back any time soon.
