Moses E. Lewis

Moses E. Lewis ( born July 26, 1854 in Coal Valley, rock Iceland County, Illinois, † March 13, 1951 in Pasadena, California ) was an American politician. Between 1915 and 1917 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Colorado.

Career

About the youth and education of Moses Lewis nothing is handed down. Also about his career beyond politics nothing is known. He came to Colorado, where he struck as a member of the Republican Party a political career. Between 1905 and 1909 he was a member of the Senate from Colorado.

In 1914, Lewis was elected to the side of George Alfred Carlson Vice Governor of the State of Colorado. This post he held 1915-1917. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. In 1928 he was an alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention. About his life after this time there is no information in the sources. He died on March 13, 1951 in Pasadena at the age of 96 years.
