Moses Harris

Moses Harris ( * 1731, † 1785 ) was an English entomologist and engraver. In his work Natural System of Colours, he examined the work of Isaac Newton in 1766, trying to fathom the variety of colors that can be mixed from the three primary colors. As a result, he found the still in use today subtractive color mixing.
