Moses Kinkaid

Moses Pierce Kinkaid (* January 24, 1856 in Morgantown, Monongalia County, Virginia (now West Virginia); † July 6, 1922 in Washington DC ) was an American politician.

Kinkaid studied at the Law Department of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. In 1876 he took his degree there, was recorded in the same year in the legal profession and practiced from 1876 to 1880 in Henry County, Illinois, and from 1880 to 1881 in Pierre (South Dakota). Kinkaid then moved to Nebraska, where he settled in the town of O'Neill and continued practicing law. 1883 Kinkaid belonged to the Senate from Nebraska. From 1887 to 1900 he was district judge ( district judge ).

1902 Kinkaid was elected as a Republican in Congress. Already in the congressional elections in 1900 he is running for a seat in the House of Representatives of the United States, at that time still without success. Now Kinkaid represented the state of Nebraska in the House of Representatives from March 4, 1903 until his death on July 6, 1922 in Washington. He was buried in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in O'Neill.
