Moshe Goshen-Gottstein

Moshe Goshen - Gottstein (* 1925 in Berlin, † 1991 in Jerusalem) was a professor of Semitic linguistics and Biblical Studies at the Hebrew University and director of the lexicographical institute and the Biblical Research Institute of the Bar - Ilan University.

He fled from the Nazis to Palestine 1939, studied at the Hebrew University, where he taught from 1950 to 1967 professor. In 1988 he was awarded the Israel Prize for Jewish studies.

He has made many contributions in the fields of biblical studies, Hebrew and Semitic linguistics. Among his numerous articles and books include "Medieval Hebrew syntax and Vocabulary as Influenced by Arabic " ( " Medieval Hebrew syntax and vocabulary, taking into account the Arab influences" ), "Introduction to the Lexicography of Modern Hebrew " ( "Introduction to the lexicography of the modern Hebrew " ) and" The Aleppo Codex " (in which he proved the authenticity of this Code ).
