Moshe Kaplinsky

Moshe Kaplinsky (Hebrew משה קפלינסקי; born January 20, 1957 in Gederah ) is a former Israeli Aluf (English as Major General ) and was until 2007 the deputy chief of staff of the Israeli armed forces. He led since the resignation of Dan Chalutz on 17 January 2007 as acting duties, the Chief of Staff. He handed these items on 14 February 2007 at Gabi Ashkenazi and the post of Deputy Chief of Staff on 1 October 2007 to Dan Harel.

Previously, he was Commanding General of the Central Command, which is responsible for the occupied territories of the West Bank. In August 2002, he took command of Aluf Yitzhak Eitan.

Kaplinsky is a veteran of the Golani Brigade. Its previous uses include, inter alia, Military Secretary of Ariel Sharon, in this position, he was promoted to Aluf ( 2001-02), commander of the Galilee Division during the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000 and commander of the Golani Infantry Brigade ( 1993-95 ).

Kaplinsky was assigned to the relevant Northern Command in August 2006 in the wake of the Lebanon War or the Commanding General Udi Adam purposed, as the chief of staff Dan Chalutz was not satisfied with Udi Adam Aluf. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bar - Ilan University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tel Aviv. He has also completed the U.S. Army officer course.
