Moshe Pearlman

Moshe Pearlman (Hebrew משה פרלמן, born 1911 in England; † April 5, 1986 in Jerusalem) was an Israeli writer.

Life

Pearlman was born in England in 1911. His name at birth was Morris Perlman. His father was born in Minsk ( now the capital of Belarus), and his mother was born in England of an immigrant family from Poland.

He studied at the London School of Economics and was a student of Harold Laski.

He first worked as a journalist. He emigrated to Israel and joined the army of the new state. From 1948 to 1952 he was the first Israeli military spokesman. In 1960 he retired and devoted himself to the literary activity.
