Mosi-oa-Tunya-Nationalpark

The Mosi -oa -Tunya National Park ( German Thundering Smoke National Park ) is located in the south of Zambia on the border with Zimbabwe and also includes the Victoria Falls, which attract many visitors every year.

It extends along the upper reaches of the Zambezi from Victoria Falls to about twelve kilometers upstream. With about 66 square kilometers, the park is quite small, but thus offers good opportunities to observe wildlife such as antelopes, zebras, giraffes, elephants and rhinos.

You can explore the park in a few hours on a round trip along the river, as a self-drive or in organized groups. Mosi- oa- Tunya is very well developed for vehicles, so every tourist can happen to him with car. Many species were once largely eradicated, so that there was neither rhinoceros nor big cats more. Meanwhile, they have been reintroduced.
