Mosibudi Mangena

Mosibudi Mangena ( born August 7, 1947 in Tzaneen ) was South African Minister of Science and Technology and Chairman of the Azanian People's Organisation ( AZAPO ).

Life

He attended until 1969 the Hebron Training College and then finished a degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of South Africa - it is called on the website of the AZAPO "University of Azania ". He joined the South African Students ' Organisation ( SASO ) and in 1971 elected to the Student Council of the University of Zululand. When he returned to Pretoria in 1972 he was chairman of SASO in Pretoria. In 1981, he then stood in front of the part of the Black Consciousness Movement of Azania ( BCMA ) in Botswana and chaired the BCMA central committee of 1982 until 1984.

In 1994 he returns from exile and became chairman of the AZAPO. 2001 he was appointed Thabo Mbeki Minister of Education and from the parliamentary elections in South Africa in 2004, when the AZAPO conquered a seat in Parliament, he was up to the resignation of Mbeki 's Minister of Science and Technology.
