Mostafa Mohaghegh Damad

Mostafa Mohaghegh Damad Ayatollah (Persian سید مصطفی محقق داماد ) is an Iranian Islamic scholar, lawyer and university professor. He is Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Academy of Sciences of Iran. He is a professor of Islamic law and philosophy at Tehran University and a member of the Iranian Academy of Sciences. He is a former Inspector General of Iran.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter A Common Word between Us and You (English A Common Word Between Us and You), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English " Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... " ) submitted (13 October 2007).
