Motarzyn

Motarzyn ( German Muttrin, Belgard ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the municipality Tychowo ( Tychowo ) in a circle Białogard ( Belgard ).

Geographical Location

Motarzyn located 21 kilometers northeast of Połczyn Zdrój (Bad Polzin ) and six kilometers south of Tychowo in Pomerania in a planar environment. The village can be reached via a branch of the province road 167. The nearest railway station is on the railway line Tychowo Szczecinek - Kolobrzeg. North of the village lies the Vorwerk Żukówek ( Petersdorf ).

History

In the years 1924 and 1929 were found numerous remains and pottery urn, which indicate a settlement already about 800 to 500 years before Christ.

In 1384 Muttrin was mentioned for the first time in a document. Notified in a Lehnsbrief of Duke Wartislaw V. that Prissebur Klest was ( von Kleist ) invested with a portion of the village. 1753 took over Ewald Friedrich and Peter von Kleist the Good Muttrin half each. About thirty years later include both the good Muttrin and chub (now Polish: Doble ) Friedrich Wilhelm von Kleist on small Dubberow ( Dobrowo ). 1840 acquired Karl Ludwig August Francis of the East from Plathe ( Płoty ) the ownership over Muttrin and Petersdorf ( Żukówek ).

In 1939, the 1036.2 -acre community Muttrin had 306 inhabitants, distributed among 74 households. 247 people were employed in agriculture and forestry.

By 1945 Muttrin belonged to the district of Zadtkow ( Sadkowo ) in the district Belgard ( Persante ). Last German Chief Administrator was William Fiek, and last municipality mayor of Muttrin Fritz Scheunemann. Muttrin belonged to the district court Belgard, and police matters governed the police station in Women ( Stare Dębno ).

After 1945 Muttrin became Polish as a result of the war. Muttrin was a district of Gmina Tychowo in powiat Białogardzki as Motarzyn. The goods Muttrin and Petersdorf ( Żukówek ) were merged with the assets classified Krössin ( Krosinko ) and Kieckow ( Kikowo ) to combine Kikowo.

The congregation Muttrin formed until 1945 with the filial community women (Stare Dębno ) the parish Muttrin, which included in 1940 a total of 2000 members of the congregation. To the parish were the places chub ( Doble ), Small Krössin ( Krosinko ), Rudy ( Rudno ) and Zadtkow ( Sadkowo ).

The parish was in the church Muttrin Belgard of the Church of the Evangelical Church of Pomerania Old Prussian Union. The church patronage of Muttrin held the estate owners Fink in Zadtkow ( Sadkowo ), Kulow in Augustenhof ( Liśnica ), von Kleist in Kieckow ( Kikowo ) and Milbradt in chub ( Doble ).

Today Motarzyn belongs to the parish of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

Parish Church

The Muttriner church is a timber-framed church and dates from the mid-18th century. The superior tower made of stones carries a Welsh fan, in their weather vane, the year 1683 is engraved.

After the war the church was confiscated by the Catholic Church in Poland, and it has been changed according to the Catholic tradition: the pulpit and galleries are removed, it is a simple hall building with the altar at the front side and the pulpit desk came next.

School

The elementary school Muttrin had two classrooms. In 1928 visited 32 boys and 23 girls from Muttrin and Petersdorf ( Żukówek ) school.
