Moth

The representatives of the United butterflies are referred to as moths, which do not belong to the butterflies. Not at all moths are actually nocturnal, the burnet example, fly only in sunshine. Most moths are characterized by an inconspicuous dull coloration, by which they are well camouflaged during the day in peace. Many species mimic the underground, for example, tree bark or dry leaves with their wings coloring. In everyday language they are sometimes referred to as moths.

However, moths are not zoological unit dar. Not at all moths are directly related to each other, such as the tensioner and Sichelflügler are used relatively close to the butterflies.

The largest collection of moths is the world located in the Museum Witt in Munich.
