Mother Meera

Mother Meera ( born December 26, 1960 in Chandepalle, State of Andhra Pradesh, India) is an Indian girl living in Germany who call their followers as an avatar. Her birth name is Kamala Reddy.

Life

At the age of six years, Mother Meera said to have made their first experience of samadhi. Her uncle Bulgur Venkat Reddy met her when she was 12 years old, for the first time and recognized her as the girl of his visions. In him the conviction that it is the divine mother grew up, and he took care of her. In 1974, he brought them the first time to Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry, whose member he was. A few months later, he brought it then to a girls' school, where she remained for about two years.

In 1976 she returned to Pondicherry. There she met the first visitors from the West and began to give darshan. In 1979 she was invited by her first followers to Montreal in Canada, where they were in larger audiences Darshan and multiple hinreiste again. In 1981, she visited Germany where they a year later settled down and married a German. Currently, she gives Darshan in " Waldecker Hof", which converted into a hotel in former farm buildings of Schloss Schaumburg in Baldwin stone.

Activities

Mother Meera receives many thousands of visitors for darshan, which take place in silence. During the darshan it touches the visitors at the temples and looking after them in the eye. She holds no lectures.

According to their doctrine is their task to bring down the Paramatman Light ( lit. light of the Supreme Self). This light could be open by Japa, the mental repetition of a divine name or mantra. This could be done informally. Their doctrine is one of Bhakti, the path of loving, emotional devotion to the Divine.

Mother Meera does not belong to certain Indian tradition. However, their work has a certain proximity to Aurobindo.

Mother Meera has opened a new international English medium school in your ashram in Madanapalle (India) on 7 June 2010. In June 2011, the school had about 250 students, about 110 kindergarten - level and 140 in the primary school.
