Motoo Kimura

Motoo Kimura (Japanese木村 资 生, Motoo Kimura, born November 13, 1924 in Okazaki, † November 13, 1994 ) was a Japanese botanist and evolutionary biologist.

Motoo Kimura founded the neutral theory of molecular evolution. 1992 Kimura received the Darwin Medal of the Royal Society, in which he was elected as a " Foreign Member " in the following year 1993.
