Motta Montecorvino

Motta Montecorvino is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 773 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Foggia in Apulia. The municipality is situated approximately 36 km west-northwest of Foggia.

History

The place was probably only from the 14th century. In 1627 it was destroyed by a devastating earthquake to be 1657 then afflicted by the plague.

Passing through the municipality, the former route of State Road 17 dell'Appennino Abruzzese e Appulo Sannitica, on the first of the Strada Statale 369 Appulo Fortorina (now county road 135) Volturara Appula by Reino led.
