Moudania (Greek Μουδανιά ( n pl ). Pronounced MOUDANIA; official name Dimotiki Enotita Moudanion Δημοτική Ενότητα Μουδανιών ) is a district of the municipality of Nea Propondida the west of the Chalkidiki peninsula in the Greek region Central Macedonia. It was formed in 1997 as an independent community on the occasion of the Greek local government reform of the Kapodistrian program from the previously independent villages Nea Moudania, Nea Potidea, Agios Mamas, Dionysiou, Flogita, Simandra and Implementing Order. With the exception of the previously as a municipality ( dimos ) existing Nea Moudania the same place all the other communities were rural communities ( ' kinotita κοινότητα ).
