The Batur is an active stratovolcano in the center of two concentric calderas in Bangli district on the Indonesian island of Bali.

The larger, 10 times 13.5 km measured caldera was created approximately 29,300 years ago. The 6.4 times 9.4 km wide inner caldera is dated to an age of about 20,150 years. The two flares, which resulted in the formation of the caldera, ignimbrites were deposited. Below was the layer Batur volcano in the inner caldera.
