Mount Besar

The volcano Besar is located on the south-eastern part of the island of Sumatra. In its crater contains some sulfur deposits. There is a box with active solfataras On the northern and northwestern flank. 1940 occurred in one of the four Solfatara fields a phreatic eruption.
