Mount McClintock

The Mount McClintock is with 3490 meters the highest mountain in the Australian Antarctic Territory. He is part of the Britannia Range, Antarctica. Was discovered in the mountains during the Discovery Expedition ( 1901-1904 ). The name derives from the British admiral Admiral Sir Leopold McClintock. McClintock could help to clarify the fate of the lost Franklin expedition, in which all participants were killed.
