Mount Nansen (Antarctica)

The Mount Nansen is a mountain in the east of the Eisenhower Range in Victoria Land in Antarctica, 17 km south of Mount Baxter. It was discovered during the expedition from 1901 to 1904 permanent British National Antarctic and named after the Norwegian explorer Fridtjof Nansen, who had been the leader of the expedition, Captain Robert Falcon Scott practical information.

The second mountain, which was named after Nansen, Mount Fridtjof Nansen. This is with 4068 m the highest peak in the Queen Maud Range, and is therefore in the center of the Transantarctic Mountains.
