Mount Ritter is a 4,010 meter high mountain in the Sierra Nevada in California. It consists of remarkably dark rock and appears as the highest mountain in a radius of 48 kilometers of very striking. How Banner Peak and Mount Ritter The minarets is part of the Ritter Range.

The mountain was named after Carl Ritter. The U.S. geologist Josiah Whitney was in the 1840s as a student in Berlin, a student of the German geographer.
