The Mt Sinai Hospital is one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious hospitals in the United States. According to the weekly news magazine U.S. News & World Report Mt Sinai is considered one of the best hospitals in the United States.

The Mt Sinai Hospital was founded in 1852 as " The Jews Hospital".

The hospital, on the eastern edge of Central Park in Manhattan is ( at 100th Street and Fifth Avenue ), also operates several subsidiaries in the metropolitan area of New York City. There is also a satellite facility in the borough (district) Queens. For more than 150 years, Mt Sinai is at the forefront of many innovations and discoveries.

In 1968, the hospital 's own Faculty of Medicine, the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, which has always enjoyed a very high ranking for education and biomedical research.
