Mount Temple (Alberta)

Mount Temple is a mountain in the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. The mountain is located in the Bow River Valley between Paradise Creek and Moraine Creek and is the highest mountain in the Lake Louise area.

The mountain was named in 1884 in honor of Sir Richard Temple by George Mercer Dawson. On July 11, 1955 seven adolescent male U.S. citizen arrived at the mountain at one of the heaviest climber accidents in Canada on the southwest route killed. On a warm summer day they were hit by an avalanche and torn height 200 meters in depth.
