Mount Waesche

The massive and towering mountain lies just south-west of Mount Sidley and marks the southern end of the Executive Committee Range. The mountain is almost completely covered with snow, only on the southern and south-western slope individual rocks protrude from the snow.

The mountain was discovered by the United States Antarctic Service ( USAS ) on December 15, 1940 and named after the U.S. Coast Guard Admiral Russell R. Waesche, a member of the Executive Committee of the USAS.
