Mountain West Conference

The Mountain West Conference ( MWC) is a regional scale in high school sports in the United States. It is historically the most recent season in Division I, the top division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA), and is in the area of ​​College Football one of currently eleven seasons until 2006 as Division IA designated Bowl Subdivision. History

The Mountain West Conference was founded in 1999 by eight universities, who had previously left the Western Athletic Conference ( WAC). The number of universities in the WAC was three years ago rose by the inclusion of former members of the disbanded in May 1996 Southwest Conference (SWC ) to 16, which had led to the organization of the WAC in the form of two divisions. Mountain West Sports Network

The Mountain West Conference has been operating on 1 September 2006 under the name Mountain West Sports Network ( abbreviation " mtn.
