Mountains of the Moon University

The Mountains of the Moon University, MMU short, is a university in the town of Fort Portal in Kabarole District in western Uganda. It was registered in 2002 and increased in 2005 to operate on. The University named after the Rwenzori Mountains.

Since 2007, the Austrian foreign service at the MMU is active.

Organization and Study Guide

The MMU is a Vice- Chancellor, who shall be assisted by a Deputy Vice-Chancellor may be present; the Registrar shall provide representative and symbolic tasks .. The University is organized into five Schools:

• Economics
• Health Sciences
• Crop Science
• Education
• Computer science.

The MMU offers various bachelor, master, diploma and certificate courses, in total there are about 30 programs.

The old campus of the University is located in Kabundaire, less than a kilometer from the city center Fort Portals. There are still the " School of Education" ( Education ) and " School of Informatics and Computing " ( computer science ).

The new " Lake saaka Campus" is located about 5 km outside of Fort Portal between two crater lakes. He hosts " School of Business and Management Studies" ( Economics ), " School of Health Science" ( Health Sciences ) and the " School of Agricultural Science" ( Crop Science )
