Mousetracking

Under Mouse Tracking ( to German as: mouse - observation ) is the recording of the mouse movement when interacting with the computer. Mouse tracking usually comes as a usability test method of web sites worldwide.

Method

One distinguishes the Mouse tracking between the following methods:

  • Analysis in the usability lab on specially designed computer systems.
  • Remote mouse tracking, in which the analysis can be carried out anywhere. However, the installation of a tracking software is necessary (eg, Morae ).
  • Non-reactive mouse tracking, in which the recording without installing dedicated software, and preparation is carried out in a test situation.
