Moviemiento founded in 2003, traveling short film festival based in Berlin.
Concept
Moviemiento sees itself as a short film festival without a fixed venue. Instead, cities and rural areas to be visited based on a predetermined route. During each festival tour organizers produce a documentary that will be shown in the current program. All demonstrations and activities are offered free of charge and basically almost exclusively under the open sky. Since 2008, other types of events, such as workshops, contests and panel discussions, in addition to film screenings part of the festival. Often single festival tours have a specific focus, such as Moving Baltic Sea environmental protection or Kinomobilny bilateral exchanges between Germany and Poland. About the Tours also organizes Moviemiento in cooperation with other organizations screenings mainly within Europe.
