Moving floor

Walking floor, also known as a sliding floor, is the name for a hydraulically driven, moving floor, which is used in conveyor and vehicle technology. Through the seamless structure of the soil as well as bulk cargo can be transported freight automated.

The soil consists of movable blades which are moved by a hydraulic drive and carry the respective commodity in a direction or in opposite directions.

Function

The moving floor consists of longitudinally movable blades which engage each other without gaps. Juxtaposition arranged these longitudinal tracks divide into zones. Each of these zones is driven by hydraulic cylinders, and moves the individual segments in a predetermined direction.

Applications

Vehicle Technology

The advantage of walking floor trailers is in their flexible deployment options, as both general cargo and bulk cargo may be carried. With a high effective volume of truck trailers up to 100 m³ these vehicles are mainly used for the transportation of bulky and lightweight, loose goods. The loading may take place both horizontally and laterally through the rear of the trailer. The truck is required for the operation of a push floor trailer a hydraulic pump as a power take-off.
