Moysey Fishbein
Mojsej Abramovich Fishbejn (Ukrainian Мойсей Абрамович Фішбейн, Russian Моисей Абрамович Фишбейн; born December 1, 1946 in Chernivtsi, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian poet and translator of Jewish origin.
Biography
Fishbejn graduated in 1976 studying at the Pedagogical Institute (Faculty of Philology ) in Kiev, from.
The first publication of the poem " Tjoploe Dychanie " (Eng. "Warm breath" ) was published in December 1970 in the literary magazine " Vitčyzna " (Eng. "Fatherland" ). His poems handed his friend, the Ukrainian poet Nikolai Bazhan, who was aware of his works first and later supported the poet, to the editor. He wrote the introduction to his first collection " Jambowe Kolo " (Eng. " Jamber circle " ), Verlag " Molod " 1974. Fishbejn worked in the editorial board of the Ukrainian Soviet Encyclopedia and as a literary secretary of NP Bazhan ( 1974-1975 ).
In 1979 Fishbejn emigrated to Israel. Fishbejn worked from 1980 to 1981 as a correspondent of the Ukrainian-speaking literary and political journal " Sutschasnist ' " (Eng. "present" ), which published the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States of America and Germany (now in Kiev ).
From 1982 lived Mojsej Fishbejn in Germany. From 1982 to 1995 worked Fishbejn (German "Freedom " ) together as a correspondent, commentator and editor of the Ukrainian and Russian editors of Radio " Swoboda ".
In 1984, " Zbirka bez nazvy " (Eng. " anthology without name ") was in New York his book published. The book consists of 3 parts: 28 original poems, a collection of poems for children and extensive translations from French (Charles Baudelaire ), Germans ( Heinrich Heine, Rainer Maria Rilke, Georg Trakl, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Paul Celan, Hans Carl Artmann and other ), Hebrew ( Yehuda Halevi, Chaim Nachman Bialik, Manfred Winkler ), from Yiddish ( Meyer Harats ), Russian ( Maximilian Voloshin Alexander Twardowski ), Spanish and other languages.
In 1989 publications were in Ukraine after ten -year break published by Fishbejn: articles, interviews, translations, prose. In particular, in the literary journal " Vsesvit " (Eng. " universe " ), 1989 No. 9.
In 1989 and organized Fishbejn supported a child's travel to the victims of the Chernobyl disaster to Israel, which took place in January 1990. Soon after, he supported a second trip for the kids to Landshut ( Germany). The publisher " Veselka " (Eng. "Rainbow " ) in 1990 published his book with the children 's poems with parallel translation from Ukrainian to Judysche.
In 2003 Fishbejn returned to Ukraine. He is a member of the Ukrainian Center of the International PEN Club and the National Union of Ukrainian poet.
In his blog Mojsej Fishbejn made several positive comments on the Ukrainian nationalist movement UPA ( Ukrajinska Powstanska Armija; German Ukrainian Insurgent Army ), he wrote memoirs of Stella Krenz Bach (apparently fictitious Jewish woman who allegedly participated in the movement of the UPA section).

Mojsej Fishbejn was awarded the Order " Yaroslav Mudroho " (Eng. " of Prince Yaroslav the Wise " ) and with the Order " Svjatoho ravnoapostolnoho Knjazja Wladimir " award (Eng. "of the holy apostles likes Prince Vladimir "). Fishbejn is also the Winner of the magazine " Sučasnist " (Eng. "present" ) and Vasyl Stus - Prize.
