Mozhga

Moschga (Russian Можга ) is a city in the Republic of Udmurtia (Russia) with 47,961 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The city is located about 100 km southwest of the capital of Republic of Izhevsk near the river Sjuginka in the river system of the Kama.

Moschga is the Republic of subordinated administratively directly and as the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons.

History

The village was founded in 1835 with the construction of the glassworks Sjuginski Zavod, was called after 1917 briefly Sovetsky, later Krasny and finally received in 1926 under the present name of the city right ( under the old name of a settling in the area Udmurtensippe ).
