Mozilla Europe
Mozilla Europe, often mozilla- europe.org, is an association that seeks to distribution and marketing, and the development of Mozilla products. The headquarters are located in Paris.
The two main products, promotes the development of Mozilla Europe, distribution and marketing, are the web browser Firefox and the email program Thunderbird.
Mozilla Europe is responsible for increasing the market share and the popularity of Firefox since January 2004. In addition, Mozilla Europe organized an open developer meetings, held once a year in a big city in Europe. The planning and realization of advertising campaigns and conferences and the general public work belong to the scope of duties of the organization.
The website of Mozilla Europe, an essential part of the organization, is now offered in 25 languages.
History
On 17 February 2004 announced Mozilla contributors and the Mozilla Foundation, the nonprofit organization that Mozilla Europe by Peter Van der Beken and Tristan Nitot was founded. The aim of the organization was originally the recruitment of users and developers in Europe, especially for the then widespread mainly in North America web browser Mozilla 1.6. Mozilla Europe should also serve for businesses and administrations as a local contact for the implementation of enterprise-wide deployment. Originally Mozilla Europe was in four languages with German, English, French and Spanish.
On 9 May 2005 from Mozilla Europe has announced to set the two founders Van der Beken and Nitot as employees. The main task of the two is to expand the developer networks in Europe and to refine, that is, the communication of developers with each other to improve. In addition, they have taken the lead in marketing and technology sectors.

Mozilla Europe has an Executive Board, with the following members: Tristan Nitot (Chairman), Jean -Christophe Lapprand (Treasurer), Pascal Chevrel (General Secretary ), Peter Van der Beken, Axel Hecht and Zbigniew Braniecki.
Developer Diary
One object of Mozilla Europe is that - to plan developer days in Europe and Mozilla perform - usually two days. These conferences are public. Interested parties can discuss problems or suggestions for improvement of the Mozilla programs and represent their mutual development progress. The following developers days have already taken place:
For the next developer diary is being considered as a venue Barcelona. In addition to the developer days in Europe, developer days in Canada, the United States and Japan are taking place. Mozilla Europe does not accept responsibility for the organization, however.
